Maia is the most beautiful little girl, and she touched my heart when I met her sweet family in December of last year.
It breaks my heart to share with you that this beautiful little girl has a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy which makes many aspects of her little life very difficult. Maia does not have the strength to crawl or walk and will require a motorized wheelchair. The cost of a new power wheelchair is just over $20,000. When her mom shared with me about a fundraiser to help provide a power wheelchair for Maia, I was so happy to donate a portrait session and 11×14 print to help raise funds!
SMA is the number one genetic killer of all children under the age of two. SMA causes severe muscle weakness in those who are affected with this disease, leaving them with chronic respiratory problems, as well as many other secondary medical issues. Currently there is no cure or treatment for SMA. Here’s the lowdown on the fundraiser. Go. Play some pool. Buy a drink if you’d like, or (Yes, Yes!) buy a portrait session with us. Spend way more than you normally would, and do it for a good cause. And end up with some beautiful portraits, and the knowledge that you have helped make life a little easier for one of God’s precious little ones!

$20 per tournament player
1st Place gets $250 Cash
2nd and 3rd place also gets prizes
*All Prizes are compliments of STIX Billiards
$1 from every drink sold will be donated to the Shockley Family and FSMA
This event is for adults only. There will be raffle items and a silent auction also!
All proceeds from this event will go towards the cost of a power wheelchair for Maia and to the Families of SMA – Greater Florida Chapter.
