just a few days after we photographed chris and katie’s maternity session, little chance made his appearance in this world.

oh chris and katie, thank you beyond words for a wonderful time with your family (despite a move away from swarming mosquitoes!), and for a new sweet friendship. you are so amazing together, and your home is filled with peace and laughter – we were so honored to settle in for a little while! welcome, baby-chance.

ari and amanda, you guys are awesome together. we both talked after your session about all the little stolen moments between you two… ‘tho we’re always willing to give some direction, it was really sweet to just stay back and watch the two of you interact in your own little world. your engagement session is awesome!

it all began with these two…
the petits were the cover family this spring for Gulf Coast Family Publication, a fabulous family publication for which we shoot the covers and write a monthly column.
my sweet boy… hurtling forward into the teen years… so wise and tender, and so human still. you are a joy, son. daddy and i are so proud of you and so thankful Papa-God gave us four boys, and you were the first.
sorry it’s taken so long to blog, buddy, but your session was too cool NOT to.
i love that our kids share a love for music. thanks for letting your sister assist on your shoot, and for hanging with her…

this little man joined his family a few years later than the first two kiddos. i think he might be glad he did. think he’s loved much?
julie and the fam are friends from church, so we felt especially priveleged to share in their journey. before everyone (but mommy, of course) came home, we had just a few minutes with hunter in his temporarily quiet house. the quiet seemed to mesmerize him and he was so sweetly calm and awake… it was beautiful!
it’s quite possible his big brother and sister think he’s pretty special.
we had the honor of photographing hunter’s birth and even before that, his momma’s belly session… we think we’ll share the story by slideshow soon – so stay tuned!
we love you already, right along with your sweet family, hunter. you are a beautiful lil’ man.
