Month: October, 2010
this year i have been spoiled to become friends with several local photographers, and karen is one of them. it is such a cool thing to share ideas, encourage each other, and even to have strong professionals whose work i respect, to whom i can refer clients if needed! karen’s lil’ one is due soon, and we squeezed in a “belly session” with big brother while daddy was serving our country (and thank you, thank you.)… (just two for now, so if she goes early, i can say the belly portraits beat the baby.
more to come, i promise!)
thank you, so much, k, for the play-date! you are drop-dead gorgeous, and i can’t wait to meet the littlest.
thank you, Papa, for that breathtaking view.
it’s always an honor, and sometimes a little scary, to photograph those we know and love. because we’re comfortable together, we can often capture amazing and intimate images that take more work when we’re getting to know clients. on the other hand, because we’re comfortable together, i’m often more sensitive to whether we captured “that” expression or this one.
bob and christy were awesome… we literally rolled in from climbing stone mountain and in fifteen minutes, christy and her girls and bob, who’d just arrived from work, were primped and curled and lip-glossed and all smiles, just in time to capture that perfectly golden last-little-bit-of-delicious light. except bob. he wasn’t all of those things, just dressed and ready. although, living with five women, it could happen. and maybe has.
aaaaand thank you very much.
thank you, girls, for being so sweet. our kiddos are blessed to know you… you’re a great example for the boys and our girl of what awesome, godly young women look like! you are each gorgeous inside and out, and i’m glad we’re friends!
christy, you are beautiful. bob is a very blessed man.
and i know he knows it. which makes him all the more dear!
and that light i mentioned? mmm, hmmm… (and i think i love the color and black-and-white equally, so here’s a peek at both!)
we love you guys. it was awesome to have some long-awaited time together! xoxoxo – angela (for us all
)
sigh. when i caught sight of nova, with her sparkly eyes and contageous smile, i adored. the smile and eyes are matched by her beautiful spirit, and her handsome-hubby to be has that same beautiful spirit. that we got to photograph them and todd’s awesome boys on the family property in georgia… well, that’s icing on the proverbial cake.

i have awesome boys. i, therefore, feel highly qualified to speak of boy awesomeness. these two are sweet-as-can-be… after our session they weren’t at all too cool to take turns riding down the (oh-we-love-those!) hilly georgia drive with our littlest. i hope i don’t embarrass you two, too much when i say i hope my girl chooses a young man someday who’s as special as you both seem… and as handsome.
oh and hello – their names are griffen and cullen. seriously? (wait, i did spell those right, didn’t i??!!)
and last (for now), my favorite favorite-ness. catching sight of the “shack” and the family’s old truck, i nearly did an early-morning dance. thank you, thank you two, for being in love.
just for fun…
and you’re sure you don’t want to move your wedding a week?
hugs –brian and angela
- because i couldn’t NOT. i’ve wanted to try this idea ever since i saw i-don’t-remember-which-photographer post it (maybe my friend bex?), and on this particular morning it just came together. patricia and jason, if this is a tiny taste of the deliciousness to come, i may die waiting in anticipation for your fabulous destin wedding. and by the way, brian now knows you’re as awesome as i promised.
more to come soon!
xo! brian and angela
I just saw THE MOST adorable wedding reception idea (and um, delish!) on the blog of a delightful local wedding coordinator, Stacy at Meant to Be Wed. Check this out!
Here’s Stacy’s idea: “For you coffee lovers, how about having a Coffee Bean Buffet (instead of a candy buffet) at your reception?!” The idea entails doing gourmet coffee gifts for your guests… their little caffeinated hearts will adore you, I guarantee.
Mine would!
She’s got more ideas on her blog post – click here to read all about it! And if you’re getting married soon, give Stacy a call and make your life a lot easier in the coming months.

I can’t believe you were in Perry! I live in Perry and I would have loved to have met you and had you do some pics of my hubby and I! Please let me know if you are ever in the area again!
NO WAY!!!!!!! I facebooked it, but I’ve gotta figure out a way to get the word out better when we travel! We love that family, so maybe we’ll be back.
