Month: December, 2009

this is really why we do what we do. i have almost no photos of my childhood. brian’s mom has been precious to scrapbook much of his. but being parents, and now grown-ups (ha!) it has become vitally important for us to capture as much as we can of the sweetness of life. we desperately desire to pass on the legacy God has given us of His love and faithfulness and future-hope that is made visible to those around us when we live it out.

the name “Loving Legacy” is truly the expression of our hearts both as artists and as a business. we desire to help you take this moment, the one that never comes back, and pinpoint it in your memory. to create, in partnership with you, art that expresses who you are and pass it down “from generation to generation.”
we had some play-time with our five this week, finally taking a moment just for us within a busy (and thankfully so!) season of family-sessions and Christmas-cards. it’s been a whirlwind of a couple months with hard-to-keep-up-with expansion (and thank you so much to our clients for your trust, your referrals, and your patience with galleries and deliveries!), unexpected job transition, unexpected blessings, and of course, our five totally-wonderful, loud and crazy, sweet-spirited life-gifts.

from our crazy family to yours, here’s to creating new memories in the new year. to celebrating the love of family, and capturing moments that fly by when we blink. to giving of ourselves to the next generation, passing on memories of silliness and sweetness and tenderness and to the breathtaking-wonderfulness of every single day. and most of all, with thankfulness to our Papa-God, who has poured out every good blessing through His son Jesus, whose birth we celebrate at Christmas and all year.
every moment matters!
all our love, The Sackett Seven!
oh-so-cold for a Florida winter morning. damp grass, and i made them meet me early. but there wasn’t a complaint – i met smiling eyes, gentlemanly hand-shakes, and brotherly love.
plus some sweet puppies bundled snuggly-warm into a basket! thank you so much, s. family, for the sweetest family-time. looking forward to some of that venison, haha!

adam, seth, and johnny, you guys are super-cool and God has great plans for the three of you!

mom and dad, you guys are awesome and it’s truly a pleasure to “hang” with you! enjoy your sneak peek, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

a gorgeous red haired beauty, a handsome german gentleman (and it’s oh-my-so-romantic when they speak to each other in his language!) a family and friends who adore them, a historical treasure of a little chapel, and a ballroom dance reception… it all adds up to the most romantic of weddings. loved every minute with the two of you, and it was a privelege for us to spend the day with you, surrounded by your romance and the love of all “your people!”

thank you, especially, nancy and rainer, for being willing to brave the cold for a few sweet romance shots!

we especially want to thank the fabulous vendors:
Starlight Dance Club (Hans and Judy, you are fabulous! Keiko, hope to see you soon!)
from our first state-to-state phone conversation, i knew i wanted to spend jenna’s wedding day with her. she’s just that kind of girl who’s at home in her skin, comfortable enough with who she is to be silly and make everyone around her laugh. and when i met her justin, his eyes smiled, and i was glad they chose us to capture their day.

here are just a few quick peeks into the details of the beautiful day. what a perfect intimate winter Florida wedding! enjoy your honeymoon, you two. thank you for allowing us to be with you for your precious wedding.

xoxo! love, brian and angela
it was a gray, cloudy, windy day. the kind where you want to stay in with a good book and sip hot tea with michael buble playing in the background. not hannah, though. she braved the elements in her pink dress and made the day bright.

Hannah, I love your sparkling eyes and your dancing spirit. God has great plans for you, sweet girl! Thank you for introducing me to your dear family, and I look forward to seeing you all again! (And hope these will tide you over till after Christmas, lol!)
