…in which there were little boys and a big dog {tampa bay family portraits}

love that she had cool beachy “props.”  love that the boys are giggly and speedy and camera-shy.  love that dad offered to be part of more “just the two of us” photos… and rolled in the waves with his beautiful bride.  love that we giggled till our sides hurt and they hung in for still more.  thank you so much tifnie and ALL the guys, for a wonderful evening.  thank you, sweet and wonderful grandma, for working as hard as we did (and thank you to two of MY boys for working so hard!).  you guys are the best!

tifnie stole my momma’s heart with her total “let them be kids” attitude toward the session (and dad, you did, too!)… it’s so hard to let go and live in the moment when you’ve planned clothes and fun goodies, but it gave us the precious gift of capturing true family-joy… sigh…

 oh wow, oh my.

 please leave your thoughts and sweetness in the comments section.  :)

hugs!  –angela (and two of MY boys…)  :)

FEATURED! {Wedding Chicks Blog Florida Wedding Photographers}

We love the Wedding Chicks.  Can we say it again?  Always full of fabulous ideas, these girls go looking for the sweetest, yummiest, most delicious wedding ideas and make ‘em look even better, for the inspiration of brides and little-girl-dreamers everywhere.  Well guess what?  They featured lil’ us!  The story:

A while ago we talked with Caitlin and Cory about what kinds of idea they had for their rock-the-dress session.  Knowing Cory is a fantabulous designer and lover of old cars, and that he just happens to own a few, we decided it would be a super cool way to show him off as the studly groom he is, alongside his beautiful bride.  The idea of a vintage-themed session, complete with vintage cars, was born.

Love when God-things happen, and as it happens, I’d intended to offer up this session to our beloved Wedding Chicks as a good fit for their blog.  In the mean-time, we saw an ad for a cool website called A Bride’s Ride on Facebook and mentioned to Cory and Cait we thought they should consider contacting them.  Renee at A Bride’s Ride finds super cool cars for brides who want to incorporate them into their day for an extra touch of something special and unique!  And of course when we talked we discovered we’re kindred spirits in our love for all things vintage, especially when it comes to gorgeous brides and grooms and the cars they choose to carry them through their dream day!

Long story longer?  They hit it off with the adorable Renee and showed off their blog post.  She said some really, really nice things and asked if we’d mind terribly if she submitted the session to her girls at The Wedding Chicks!  MIND??!!  Really?  Nope, we don’t mind.  And here you go.  Check it out!  Leave a comment so they know you loved it!  And while you’re there, grab a cup of herbal tea with stevia and coconut milk.  You’re gonna be lost in dreamland for a while.  What’re you waiting for?  GO!  The Wedding Chicks is HERE. Retro Wedding Signs.

Thanks so much to the Catie of Euphoria for the breathtaking hair and makeup!  Girls, if you’re looking for some special magic for your senior, bridal, or boudoir session, she’s your fairy godmother!  Cait and Cory, next stop, photographing your someday-babies.  :)   Unless you wanna do some more cool car sessions!  And thank you, Renee and Jocey et al, for so graciously inviting us to Wedding Chicks land for the day.  :)

rock the dress. i mean REALLY rock it. vintage style. {tampa bay wedding photographers}

so, cory and cait are pretty much the coolest people we know.  (no less cool to the other people we know, mind you.  :)   )  but these two are the perfect match of elegant graceful teensy lil’ wife and buff manly welding-and-mechanically-minded-type hubby.  we were spoiled to photograph their gorgeous wedding last summer, and even more spoiled when they let us spend practically a whole day playing with them on their rock the dress session.

brides, this is a super-cool way to honor your man after the wedding day.  ask him what he loves to do (well,  you might already have some ideas by now…) or offer to live out a bit of a fantasy together.  get in your dress, get all gorgeous again (we can refer you to a fabulous stylist!) and have a session that he’ll think is fun, too!  cory loves his vintage cars (and will be offering them to our brides and grooms to spice up your day!) and he’s a guitar fanatic.  we giggled as throughout the shoot we’d hear cory say, “this is so hot!”  um, yeah, we thought so, too.

because they gave us a ridiculous amount of time to experiment and have fun with them, we were able to capture two totally different looks, using two of cory’s fave cars.

MARRIAGE is sexy.

and it just so happens, i’ve always dreamed of driving a ’57 chevy (my dad built me a model one for my 16th birthday!) so cory obliged me… looove that guy!

and a different kinda saucy…

yum.
