baby on the way {largo, florida maternity photography}

this little guy gave his family a scare.  first of all, he tried to make an early entrance and made his momma go on bed rest for a looooooooong time.  then when she got the doctor’s “go-ahead” to get up and around, he decided he’d hang out for a while.  we squeezed in a mini-session during a rainstorm and waited and waited.  well guess what?  his parents head to the hospital TODAY to welcome him into the world!  can’t wait to meet you, little guy.  :)   debbie and shane and you two awesome big brothers, this baby is truly blessed. as are all the people who love you and get to partake in your awesome baby-story!

thank you, thank you.  :)

(and for my photographer friends, i’m telling a lil’ secret on debbie.  she brought out demi moore’s famed iconic maternity session cover for inspiration.  how completely awesome is that?!)

mike and victoria {tampa bay maternity photography}

mike is a fabulous DJ we had the privelege to work with at several weddings, where we grew to respect and really like him and his beautiful wife, victoria.  when they shared with us during a reception that they were expecting their first lil’ one, we giggled and danced with them… and then even more so when they asked us to do their maternity session.  (okay, angela giggled and danced…)

anywhoo, when victoria agreed to be brave and creative and play with us on the beach, anna and i couldn’t wait.

when we say, “loving legacy,” we mean not just yours, but ours, too.  as homeschool parents, we consider our family business to be part of our kids’ education.  you’ll often find one of our own to be assisting us… they’re learning photographic art and technique alongside their parents, and we’d be thrilled if someday they take us over.  :)

 i’m so spoiled to get to “work” with clients like this, and with my tiny little girl, who doesn’t just help me, but is developing a creative voice all her own, with growing technical skills to match.  pretty soon, i’ll be assisting her.  can’t wait!

i’m proud to be your mama, sweet girl.  it’s an honor to work alongside you

 and one more momma-word: our girl doesn’t just stand over my shoulder.  these images are her own composition and even posing… all manual exposure on our professional equipment.

and now, the slideshow mike and victoria requested for their baby shower.  :)

can’t wait to meet you, baby-girl!  if you’re half as pretty as your mommy and kind as your daddy, they’re going to need bodyguards.

hugs!  {{–miss angela and anna}}

baby belly {clearwater maternity photographer}

warning, mamas: we must have a gift for putting you into labor (almost.)  to be fair, we did wait waaaay into brittany’s pregnancy to do her maternity session (she graciously waited for our schedule to open up a tad), and she didn’t actually go into labor until a almost week later.  baby graeme waited until his mommy had hosted a bridal shower for his aunt catie.  and then he came into this world… and tomorrow i get to capture him at just three days old.  i might not sleep a wink.

jeremy and brit were kind enough (and brave enough!) to let me play with some studio techniques… while i far prefer outdoor, location sessions for their variety and freedom, we are constantly challenging ourselves to grow and stretch in our art.  thank you guys… i would (will!) hang your images on my wall!

before we post his newborn images, i thought we might share his mommy and daddy and big brother r’s belly session.    :)

love this family.

jeremy, you are such a good daddy and husband.  brit, you are beautiful.

congratulations on the birth of your second son, guys.  we can’t wait to meet him!

hugs… the sackett crew.

and baby makes 8… {naples family and maternity portraits}

john was a friend in high school youth group, and i always tell him he “married good.”  jill is beautiful inside and out and being near her makes me want to be a better wife and mom and all around woman!  she’s a mother of five and a birth assistant and he’s a great dad and husband as far as i can see :) ,  and the easy rhythm between the two of them is restful to be around.  i was spoiled to photograph their family in the fall and just after their session as we were preparing their Christmas cards jill  informed me that we’d have to add an extra signature, because little did they know, she was carrying number six in their family portraits!

i love beyond words that the two of them chose to do maternity portraits for the first time with this little one.  even better, we met at their beautiful family home, complete with goats and chickens, for some giggles and sweetness.

their whole family celebrates their newest sibling, and let me tell you, there are some amazing God-stories to tell about the coming of each of the kids!

i love how each of the children in large families has a distinct personality, and yet there’s a kinship that ties them together.  the familiarity between these guys and the sweet, old-fashioned innocence and playfulness they live out makes me giggle! while we set up this shot, biggest brother was standing over my shoulder with a hilarious monologue… “oh, this is like a first baby kind of thing… now just put your hand on her belly, and look at all that maternityness… how sweeeet…” or something along those lines.  he had us giggling our buns off!

i think maybe he has dad’s sense of humor.  :)   liza hill, beautiful.

shepley is quite a budding photographer herself. it was fun to watch her go at it, and she made me work for our subjects’ attention!  sweet girl…

jill, you are absolutely gorgeous, and i can’t wait to meet this gift that God handed you guys!  your kids are a joy… yes indeed, john married good!

thank you guys for the privelege of being there for some beautiful family moments!

hugs – angela

Miracle in Motion {St Pete Florida Maternity Portraits}

This is a magical story… beautiful Shawn contacted me a couple weeks back having just found our website… “I’m 38 weeks pregnant, but I’d really like to get some maternity shots before baby…” was something like the message she sent.  Most mommas at that point are ready to pop, and none too comfortable.  Because we were out of town we scheduled a mini-session in downtown St. Pete just a few days later.

When Shawn stepped into the street I thought she must have fibbed… besides having the tiniest tummy ever, she was bubbly and glowing like a mom months from her due date.  She admitted to having had contractions during the day and resting to make sure she could get in her belly session.  Her sweet hubby Brian and their beautiful girl enjoyed gelato and we giggled our way through our time together.  Isn’t she gorgeous?

Princess Reilly will make the best big sister…

Now for the magical part.  Flash forward a few hours.  I mean it, later that night (well, in the wee hours…) sweet Shawn gave birth to an angel-baby-girl… Miss Maeve.  I’m running just now to capture her squooshy, snuggly little self.  But before I go I just had to tell her story.  Can you believe she’ll be able to see these gorgeous images of her momma, truly in early labor?  Can you believe that momma is just a few short hours from birth?  Sigh…

(Now, moms, this is not an encouragement to wait till you’re about to pop to capture these shots, but just in case, I am smitten with birth photography… just sayin!)

Congratulations to our fave new friends… can’t wait to meet the newest princess!

Hugs – angela
