ashley’s senior session {tampa bay senior portraits}

having had the high privelege of capturing ashley’s beautiful sister last year, it was a privelege to be asked to document this amazing time for ashley.  um, hello, beautifulness!  this is why i love shooting early, early in the morning.  and why i love senior portraits.  time to wander, explore the area, and especially the fun of working with someone who’s creative and just as adventuresome as i am!  (ceanne, you are an amazing mom and assistant, and i loved having you!)

i love redheads.  can i say it again?  i LOVE redheads.

thank you so much, l. family, for the honor.  you set the bar high for what i expect of my girl when she’s a young lady.  congratulations, ashley, on your senior year!

hugs!  –angela

mike and victoria {tampa bay maternity photography}

mike is a fabulous DJ we had the privelege to work with at several weddings, where we grew to respect and really like him and his beautiful wife, victoria.  when they shared with us during a reception that they were expecting their first lil’ one, we giggled and danced with them… and then even more so when they asked us to do their maternity session.  (okay, angela giggled and danced…)

anywhoo, when victoria agreed to be brave and creative and play with us on the beach, anna and i couldn’t wait.

when we say, “loving legacy,” we mean not just yours, but ours, too.  as homeschool parents, we consider our family business to be part of our kids’ education.  you’ll often find one of our own to be assisting us… they’re learning photographic art and technique alongside their parents, and we’d be thrilled if someday they take us over.  :)

 i’m so spoiled to get to “work” with clients like this, and with my tiny little girl, who doesn’t just help me, but is developing a creative voice all her own, with growing technical skills to match.  pretty soon, i’ll be assisting her.  can’t wait!

i’m proud to be your mama, sweet girl.  it’s an honor to work alongside you

 and one more momma-word: our girl doesn’t just stand over my shoulder.  these images are her own composition and even posing… all manual exposure on our professional equipment.

and now, the slideshow mike and victoria requested for their baby shower.  :)

can’t wait to meet you, baby-girl!  if you’re half as pretty as your mommy and kind as your daddy, they’re going to need bodyguards.

hugs!  {{–miss angela and anna}}

family vacation {st pete family beach portraits}

brad and carrie are family, and so that makes it all the more meaningful when they chose us to capture their super special time in the family’s history.  the girls are growing up and spreading their wings, and a family vacation is a great time to get everyone together and enjoy each other without all the distractions of everyday commitments (except texting, of course!  :)   ).  we had so much fun with you guys (and at the game night afterwards!); thank you so much for trusting us and spending part of your trip in front of our lenses.  enjoy your sneak peek!

who’s the hot guy with the camera?  oh yeah, he’s mine:)

big huge cousin-hugs… love, brian and angela!

kindred spirits {st pete beach family portraits}

did you ever know before you even met someone that you were girlfriends?  from the first email i received from nikki, i was like a kid waiting for Christmas, excited to meet her.  maybe it was her online boutique, polka stripe, chock full of goodies destined to make any mom or photographer swoon.  maybe it was her glittery language that made me feel like we’d met for coffee and were best of heart-friends.  could’ve been her kind words and creative ideas for her session… and the giant box she arrived with, shipped from cali (and little did i know that like the Christmas elf, she planned to send that box home with me!!  whee!!).  whatever it was, i was excited for the family session planned to coincide with a family reunion trip to florida.

um, yes, this little ensemble is adorable, defined.  and yes, i have a couple of these available for your photographic enjoyment.  these fit bigger girls, as well, so start planning your session! (and for you mommas of teeny girls, i have a new line at the studio from a sweet local friend… ask me!!)

 furthermore, if you have to have your own (or two), stop by and visit my new friend nikki here!

i want to eat this little man for dessert. please don’t tell anyone – i don’t want to be the scary photographer. :)

the men.

nikki, it was pure joy to meet your sweet family.  even though i turned it down (who can bypass a diet coke?!), i loved your hubby for offering me a beer at nine a.m.  your boys made me giggle and your girls made me melt, and i look forward to meeting again!

big hugs, girlfriend!  xo – angela

“i still do.” {tampa beach weddings}

we went into the “business” of photography because we have a love for capturing life’s most important moments.  we believe fully that the art we create today helps preserve and pass down our relationships, our stories, and our loves to future generations.  photographs tell a story, and it’s a vital one when it is a story of faithfulness and commitment.

when it’s our own family, it is even more precious to us.  when my brother-and-sister-in-law invited us to be part of their vow renewal, we were moved and honored.  life is just hard sometimes, and it was important to them, as they are expecting their second child, to make a statement to their family about “forever.”

we do lots of weddings, and they’re beautiful; full of hope and future-promise, and often the joining together of two young people, they are a picture of what is to come.  i gotta say, though, there’s something awe-inspiring about two people coming together, sharing that life brings hardship, and reaffirming that future-hope in the light of past faithfulness.  stace and cristy, you are a beautiful picture of God’s faithfulness, and we’re honored to be your family.  (oh, and we’re glad you asked us to “take pictures!”)  can’t wait to meet littlest… when’re you flying us up?  :) )

special “mom brag” moment: these images are taken by myself and our girl anna while daddy was performing the ceremony; second wedding, beautiful-girl!  you’re on your way!

hugs!! angela
