lauren and james {florida vintage wedding photography, florida vintage engagement session}

lauren found us on the oh-so-awesome wedding chicks blog, and knew she’d found the right photographers (or we prayed she knew!) when she told us about her vintage Florida wedding plans.  we so totally can’t wait till next spring… especially now that we’ve met her photographer self (check out her vintage mamiya – i tried not to drool on it) and james’ musician self (visit his band The Nine Volts here!).  thank you guys so much for being brave, for bringing awesome props, and just making our evening FUN!

lauren, you make the most adorable faces.  we went home talking about how fun it will be to see you as a bride and capture all those great expressions!   i couldn’t believe when i opened up your images and both hubby and i captured this look!  when you two make each other smile it is. just. cool.  defined.

i’ve no idea why :) but our oldest son loves shooting e-sessions with us.  you’ll see a couple of his images here in this post… this image was his vision!

special thanks to the st. petersburg shuffleboard club.  we adore this place, and ever since we gave shuffleboard a try with friends on a Friday night, we’ve had big visions for some cool sessions here.  you guys were awesome hosts and the club is one of the coolest places in St. Pete!

alena and thomas {st. pete florida vintage engagement portraits}

…well, vintage, vintage-modern… just plain wonderful!

alena met us at our fave starbuck’s a while back and we talked wedding plans, and about her beloved thomas, who was away serving our country.  we couldn’t wait to photograph the two of them together when he was here on leave.  he’s as sweet as i knew he would be, and alena’s smile when she’s with him could light the night sky.  alena, you are so beautiful, and thomas, you are going to be a wonderful husband.  we can’t WAIT for your wedding day!  :)

a long road to forever. {tampa bay engagement photography}

ed and eva are well-traveled – they live in taiwan and have spent time in places like tel aviv and egypt this year in travel for work and play.  they came “home” (for ed) to get married, and it was our breathtaking whirlwind of fun to spend the week with them and their family and friends.  you two are gorgeous, and you and your “people” are lovely.  thank you for bringing us along, and for allowing us the privelege to capture your wedding day.  we can’t wait to share those images, but for now, your morning of romance…

(funny lil’ story – a security guard from the park and asked us if everyone was going to be keeping their clothes on for this session… um, yes, we hope so… :) )

you made us wanna kiss.  :)

eva, you are stunning and your groom is handsome and kind.  thank you, thank you for wandering with us!

…and he tried to use his “serious face.” {clearwater engagement portraits}

i pretty much adored john and shannon from the minute she called to talk to us about her wedding… she’d been engaged for about three minutes, i think, and she wanted to make sure of details like snagging us to spend the day with them (oh, how cool do we feel?!!)… and when we met she was just as adorable as she sounded, and john, well, he’s yummy. (i mean that in the sense of a happily married woman who is the mom of sons and is easily won over by a sweet smile and twinkly eyes :) ). he proposed by pulling out a custom designed skim board on a cold and grumpy night, and he’s been romancing her ever since.

and this is right after he said, “i’m gonna do my serious face.”  :)   and that is how the night went.

 this one takes my breath away…

these are just a few to “tide you over.”  we can’t wait to spend the day with you guys again!!

big hugs, brian sr., angela, and brian jr. (thanks for all your hard work, buddy!  you rock!)

sarah and jon {ybor city engagement photography}

jon lives in alaska and made it into town just days before to squeeze in an engagement session so TODAY we shoot their wedding!  congrats, sarah and jon – first wedding of our summer… it’s going to be a beautiful day!

jon (and sarah, too, i think!) is a coffee addict.  of course we had to go for coffee, and sarah found the most wonderful spot in ybor city.  if you’re looking for a wonderful cup of coffee and an even better atmosphere, spend a morning (or afternoon, or evening!) at tre amici at the bunker.

yum.

even cooler, while we were there we met an adorable fellow photographer, and can’t wait to connect with her and her hubby down the road.  :)   (thanks for your sweet spirit!)

sarah and jon are their own people, and great things are ahead for them!  crazy and witty and passionate about deeper things in life, they make wonderful conversation.  even ridiculously early in the morning!

what fun you’ll have together on your wedding day, sarah with a dancing-heart!  congratulations.

hugs!  brian and angela
