when kenzie first called us she was looking for a position as an intern for the summer (and she’s going to be a great asset!), but when we met we knew she had to be a rep for us as well.  she’s bubbly and outgoing and up for anything (even wading in a “creek!”).  i loved the ideas she had for incorporating her love for all things Native American, and her pageant experience didn’t hurt her ability to rock some fashion poses, either.

emily and her beautiful mom and stylist-sister envisioned a gorgeous shoot at the kapok for emily’s senior session, and it didn’t disappoint!  there were many adventures to overcome (wink, wink!), but the images emily created take my breath away.  don’t they yours?!

emily’s mom had one request: she wanted a vintage 1940′s style heashot in the classic black and white for the frame she’s already picked out. 

gorgeous girl – she had designed and sewn her own prom dress and i am so excited she decided at the last minute to bring it to the shoot!  not only did it create some beautiful and dramatic images, it will capture her talent and the love she poured into her creation for her to remember for always!

emily, you are a beautiful young woman, and i can’t wait to hear about your adventures with youth with a mission.  you will go far in this life, and i believe you’re going to leave your mark on this earth for eternity!

i’ve said it before, but being a four-boy-momma (not to forget my princess-girl), i am always impressed when i get to photograph awesome and manly guys at the start of their lives of independence.  brandon an i met earlier this year for a preview-session, and this time he brought his amazing family (see the “a family” post a couple days back!).  he was a great sport about being asked to climb a tree, among other adventurous parts of his senior shoot.  thanks so much, brandon, for creating some awesome images.  we are honored to be part of this “beginning” of the next part of your journey.

 I couldn’t resist a little “outtake.”  for those who follow us, you’ll know that recently my husband “came home” to run the business side of Loving Legacy Photography, and he’s shooting and editing as well.  i’m not so sure he signed on for this type of “work,” but he’s an awesome willing participant in my wild-haired schemes… and actually, the resulting shot was his idea.  nice call, honey!  way to take one for the team…

what an ethereal morning… Heaven-light poured through the trees… the grass danced and the sweet girl who allowed us the treat of capturing her beauty was a joy to spend time with.
