early morning. goo in our shoes from the ever-present florida summer rains. and not a complaint, because the light was golden and the heat wasn’t yet unbearable and most of all, the family was happy to be together on a summer morning. thank you, bonnie, and all of your crew, for a sweet sunrise session!
the sisters:
this one i want for dessert. or just to keep. i’ve got four boys, and he’d fit right in…
enjoy the remaining sweet days of summer! hugs…angela
this precious little boy and his parents recently graced the cover of gulfcoast family publication. it was a precious gift to hear their story and to meet their vibrant, beautiful little boy. thank you so much, dear ones, for sharing your hearts!
this precious family has an amazing, though heartbreaking, story to tell about grace and loss. you can read their story here. many of you may know i volunteer for an organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep; my dear friend served this family through NILMDTS to help them capture the fleeting life on earth of their beautiful little girl… it reminds me that what we do in photographing families is so vital. with art, we honor life.
angie and her family are delightful. ‘tho it’s been forever long posting this blog, i can still hear mom and the girls giggling. i so enjoyed the time with you, dear family!
such beautiful girls.
it all began with these two…
the petits were the cover family this spring for Gulf Coast Family Publication, a fabulous family publication for which we shoot the covers and write a monthly column.
we had the privelege to photograph the “c” family for the gulfcoast family cover last month and loved them! so much fun and laughter, and you guys were so totally willing to go with the flow… thanks for a fun little afternoon jaunt!
(and a little plug for the adorable Candy Kitchen, who just opened this location in redington beach. must. go. have. ice. cream. {or candy!} )
hugs!! –brian and angela
when i met patti and her girls, they were escorted by the man of the family; they were the featured family i would photograph for the cover of Gulfcoast Family.
here’s one of our our images from that session…

they were so sweet and gracious, and i couldn’t wait to photograph them on a more carefree lifestyle session.

they invited a-girl and i to their home on the water and we soaked up every bit of the evening light…

the girls shared their hearts through their eyes.

as soon as i saw this image, with a catch in my throat i thought of a scene in the movie Letters to Juliet that stole my breath… “One of the greatest joys in life is having one’s hair brushed…” (side note here: if you have not seen this movie, DO IT. now. do not pause for anything. it is a beautiful and sweet little happy-movie that is perfect for a dreary winter night – the cinematography is magical.
)

beautiful mom.

we ended up relaxing on the dock: two moms, enjoying the kind of autumn evening only Florida’s gulf coast can provide… sipping red wine and listening to our girls giggle.
thank you, patti, for being such a gracious host, and for a wonderful evening with you and your girls! {{hugs… angela}}
